On a 5 hour drive to southern Finland countryside from Kuopio I was a little bit nervous. I was going to a place I’ve never heard of with over 20 people I’ve never met before to spend a weekend. I have a habit of jumping into situations like this, but still there was another type of nervousness in the air. When I was staring eye-to-eye with a rabbit in front of my car lights in a pitch-black evening on forestry road I was convinced that this was going towards something surreal.
I got to witness and be part of something great! During the weekend I got to know and discuss with almost as “crazy for international issues” as myself and there was some seriously loony ideas that actually turned into something worth a serious consideration! A reality series with Bollywood star in Lapland was visioned for Goa World Congress stand to promote Finland as well as a brilliant idea of live-streamed Sauna and Palju ‑roadtrip to Riga European Conference.
As JCI is an organization with your own imagination as the limit of things to discover and try out, you better set yourself free from the restrictions of the “normal” and grab the flying ideas and build them together into reality. That is the beauty of this network. During the weekend we did accomplish concrete things and you will be hearing about them later on this spring.

I got a chance to experience JCI Team Finlandia Kick-Off weekend at Tanhuanpää resort with my new friends from JCI’s across Finland. I strongly recommend to be active and get of your comfort zone – you will be surprised and pleased later on!
